Clara Gibson MaxwellKaloskaisophos is the website of Mon Oncle D'Amérique Productions, an "association loi 1901" based in Paris that has presented the artistic collaborations of American choreographer Clara Gibson Maxwell since 1987. In ancient Greek, "Kalos" meant "Beautiful" and "Sophos" meant "Wise." We do not claim to be or to incarnate "Beauty" and "Wisdom," but our creative collective efforts are directed toward those "ends," motivated and furthered by the love thereof.

Looking for LilithLooking for Lilith is a theatre company that is dedicated to re-examining history through women's perspectives, both past history and history in the making today, in order to reveal and celebrate women's contributions. The ancient story of Lilith embodies our struggle. Lilith's story represents to us an instance where a strong woman's voice was quieted, and her story lost. Inspired by her, we seek to use women's histories-- both oral and written, to create multi-disciplinary performance pieces that will bring women's voices to a wider audience. In addition to creating original work, we are exploring current feminist works and re-examining old works.

M.U.G.A.B.E.E.M.U.G.A.B.E.E Men Under Guidance Acting Before Early Extinction - Hybrid has become an overused term in American language. It is probably because most Americans are hybrids of some type. Yet, it is a term that precisely fits when describing M.U.G.A.B.E.E. Their name, which is an acronym meaning Men Under Guidance Acting Before Early Extinction, describes a group divinely guided to be musicians, singers, rappers, songwriters, producers, engineers, poets and teachers, they do it all, and they do it all well. That may be because they see themselves as artists, vessels for the word, allowing it to move through them in various forms of hip hop, jazz, spoken word, rhythm and blues, rap, soul, reggae, and classical styles. brings real Americans back into the political process. With over 3.3 million members across America – from carpenters to stay-at-home moms to business leaders – we work together to realize the progressive vision of our country’s founders. MoveOn is a service – a way for busy but concerned citizens to find their political voice in a system dominated by big money and big media.

Norman SalantNorman Salant is a composer, musician and martini-maker-extraordinaire. His birds make for fun pets and would make great hood ornaments. Too bad he doesn't have a cat because it would be quite an adventure watching a cat chase his two little birds around his lovely apartment. Please don't mind the nonsensical text as the mad web designer is just trying to show what a body of text might look like in the wrong hands.

Rajni Shah TheatreRajni Shah Theatre explores issues of subjectivity and performance, and aims to challenge preconceptions about the audience-performer relationship. Each new piece of work is informed by the experiences of the performers involved and uses different performance disciplines accordingly. Drawing equally on dance, theatre and live art, the focus of the company’s work is on the intersection of artifice and honesty and the physical presence of the body within those parameters.

Jose Torres TamaJose Torres Tama has been touring across the country with solo shows that thrive on a fusion of spoken word prose, bilingual poetry, rituals of fire, symbolic movement, and exaggerated personae, creating spectacles that are visually dynamic and politically charged. Add to this cauldron a heady dose of hilariously absurd observations on consumer culture and you have a unique vision coming from a New Jersey/New York bred Ecuadorian-born brujo performance artist based in New Orleans.
